Waterworks Professional Exteriors (WPE) have specialized in cleaning & roof restoration Brisbane for in excess of 31 years.

Services include the exterior cleaning (including roofs) of homes, units, shopping centres, multi-story and high-rise buildings...click on the NEWS blog for updates on what WPE do.

Established in 1986 as a family business, WPE was the stand out in relatively small group of External Cleaners servicing the Greater Brisbane area. Since then they have consolidated that position.

They achieved a number of firsts in the Industry including:

establishing a Website some 20 years ago
achieving Quality Assurance status around the same time
designing and building technically superior equipment
training personnel in all aspects of cleaning brisbane
employing qualified professional roof repairers and painters

These initiatives have helped make them the benchmark, in what has become a fiercely competitive industry... and all without "dropping the ball" on quality performance.

With their 'do it once - do it right' philosophy, outlined in the Company's Quality Assurance Mission Statement, they've earned a reputation for an innovative approach to projects. With the onset of severe water restrictions imposed by the Queensland Water Commission (QWC) during the drought in early 2007, Waterworks' Managing Director, Kevin Halpin, was one of two elected by his peers to negotiate directly with this Government Body. The Industry was virtually threatened with extinction.

Following legal advice they created an Industry Association, the External Cleaning Industry Association (ECIA). In conjunction with the QWC and Commerce Queensland an Industry Code of Practice evolved together with a Training schedule and Registration system for Contractors.

The ECIA played a significant role co-ordinating the task of cleaning Brisbane following the January 2011 flood. During that time ABC Radio 612 4QR consistently promoted the use of ECIA Members, who were regarded as superior and trustworthy service providers.

Regrettably the Association was wound up in December 2014 owing to declining membership and apathy of contractors within the Industry. This left the path wide open for rogue operators to ply their trade, making it difficult for the general public to make an informed choice of contractor.

Don't despair... there are still decent people in the Industry ...but without the involvement of an Industry Association it's simply more difficult to track them down.
